HÀ NỘI — The Ba Vì National Park, about 60km west of Hà Nội, is a weekend getaway that allows people to reconnect with nature.
Trekking through the 11,000ha park is a highly recommended activity.
A trek, which typically lasts two to four hours, takes in the forest and waterfalls.
Trees hundreds of years old and mossy rocks appear as trekkers go deeper into the forest.
On the way back to Hà Nội, it is a good idea to stop by Đồng Mô Lake, 25km from the park to watch the sun set.
Besides its great views, this 200ha lake is a spot favoured by local fishermen because of the good catch at all times. — VNS
