The central city of Da Nang

On a recent afternoon in April, the Pham Van Dong - Vo Nguyen Giap three-way crossroads suddenly became crowded as 800 guests from central and local agencies and large corporations showed up to attend the topping-out ceremony of the first building of the 5-star – Anh Duong - Wyndham Soleil Danang project, developed by PPC An Thinh Da Nang.

The complex, covering an area of 2.2 hectares, will include four 50-57-storey towers. It was introduced by the investor as the tallest building in the central region of Vietnam.

Many multi-storey buildings have arisen in the sea city recently.

The twin Cocobay Towers in Cocobay Tourism & Entertainment Complex developed by Empire Group will also be one of the skyscrapers in the future.

The buildings with height of hundreds of meters are now commonly seen in Da Nang. These include the 166.8 meter Da Nang Administration Center; the 37-storey Novotel Danang Premier Han River, Muong Thanh hotel and high-end apartment complex, Son Tra high-end apartment complex, and the 34-storey Azura apartment building.

Its investor once stirred up the public when organizing a ceremony with the participation of the world famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) who became an honorary client booking a condotel at the project.

The twin towers are expected to be 200 meters tall with 48 stories and two basements, with luxury amenities such as infinity pool on the 47th floor, restaurant and bar on the top tower, Panorama crystal elevator and the largest shopping center in the central region.

These projects are located near the coast. In mid-2017, the Da Nang City People’s Committee released a decision which says there will be four condotels and shopping centers in the area, including the lowest building with 42 stories and the tallest with 51 stories.

In November 2017, the twin towers Movenpick Hotels & Residences – Risemount Apartment Da Nang, a complex of hotel, high-end apartment and condotels, kicked off with investment capital of VND1.8 trillion.

The buildings with height of hundreds of meters are now commonly seen in Da Nang.

These include the 166.8 meter Da Nang Administration Center designed like a lighthouse on the Han River with 37 stories and two basements; the 37-storey Novotel Danang Premier Han River, Muong Thanh hotel and high-end apartment complex, Son Tra high-end apartment complex with 42 stories and two basements, and the 34-storey Azura apartment building.

Real estate experts believe that multi-storey buildings is a growing trend in the country.

Van Tuan Huy, an expert, said the records in the height of buildings serve investors’ marketing strategies, helping to boost sales. Clients also want to live in multi-storey apartment blocks because this shows they are members of the upper class.
