HCM CITY — Digiworld Corporation on Friday signed an agreement with Nestlé Vietnam to become the master distributor of the latter’s healthcare nutrition products in the Vietnamese market.

DGW said it would help expand the market for Nestlé’s products through all the business channels it has developed like clinics, pharmacies and hospitals.

The products, developed by Nestlé Health Science Institute, include milk powder for malnourished children and diabetics.

Đoàn Hồng Việt, CEO of Digiworld, said since 2008 Nestlé has been bringing many healthcare nutrition products to the Vietnamese market.

The tie-up would diversify the market and give consumers more options, he said.

DGW on Friday also announced its 2018 business results with growth of 56 per cent in revenues to VNĐ5.9 trillion (US$250 million) and 39 per cent in after-tax profit to over VNĐ109 billion ($4.8 million).

All segments saw growth last year, the company said.

Tablet and laptop sales grew by 6 per cent to VNĐ2.4 trillion ($105 million) and that of mobile phones by 213 per cent and office equipment and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) by 48 per cent and 50 per cent.

This year, the company targets growth of 20 per cent in revenues and 25 per cent in profits.

It expects the FMCG segment to achieve the highest growth, a whopping 367 per cent.

Digiworld was established in 1997 as an ICT distributor and market development solutions provider.

It has also distributed 30 famous brands and has 16,000 sales points in the country.
