Daikin Set To Make Ducted Ceiling-mounted Air Conditioner In Việt Nam

HƯNG YÊN — Japanese air-conditioning giant Daikin has announced plans to manufacture commercially ducted ceiling-mounted air conditioners in Việt Nam next year.

Ogami Noriyoshi, deputy director of Daikin Vietnam, told Bizhub.vn that the entire production process would be supervised by a team of Japanese engineers with years of experience at Daikin factories around the globe.

Speaking about the Daikin Vietnam plant in Hưng Yên Province, he said it is the company’s latest globally, which costs around US$72 million and has the most modern technologies of Daikin Group.

The factory is committed to providing the Vietnamese market with high-quality air conditioners, making with Japanese technology, which has stable quantities that meets the needs of consumers, he said.

It manufactures not only air conditioners but also components. As of September 2019, 500,000 sets of air conditioners produced at Daikin Vietnam factory were released into the market.

In April this year the factory received the ISO 9001 quality certification from the Japan Quality Association.

In April 2020 it is expected to receive the ISO 14001 certificate for environment management. — VNS
