ĐÀ NẴNG — The central city of Đà Nẵng’s VietArt company has debuted the first coffee shop chain in the Đà Nẵng style – The Cups Coffee – to challenge giants Highlands Coffee and The Coffee House, as well as newly introduced Starbucks, in the city’s drink market.
It is the first chain tailored to Đà Nẵng style and tastes. It will sell favourite drinks and snacks of young people including fresh coffee, milk tea, yoghurt and breads.
Tourists can enjoy hot coffee, with the beans ground fresh for each order.
Two shops have already opened at the city’s downtown on Lê Duẩn and Nguyễn Văn Thoại, while two more shops will be introduced in February.
Local coffee roasters are competing with large businesses such as Starbucks and Trung Nguyên Highlands Coffee to win over young Vietnamese people.
The city already has numerous popular coffee shops and cafés including 30-year-old Cafe Long, Coffee house Đà Nẵng, Alacarte top bar beach view, Cộng Coffee and Han Coffee.
