The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,964 VND per USD on March 25, up 7 VND from the last working day of previous week (March 22).
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,652 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,276 VND/USD.
Meanwhile, the opening hour rates at commercial banks remained stable.
Vietcombank kept both rates unchanged from March 22, listing the buying rate at 23,150 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,250 VND/USD.
BIDV also maintained the same rates as on March 22, at 23,155 VND/USD (buying) and 23,255 VND/USD (selling).
The rates at Techcombank stayed the same as on March 22, at 23,130 VND/USD (buying) and 23,255 VND/USD (selling).
Last week, the daily reference exchange rate was adjusted down on three days and up on two days. It ended the week on March 22 at 22,957 VND/USD, 5 VND higher than the rate on the week’s opening.
The rates listed at commercial banks saw only small changes during the week, with the rates at BIDV and Techcombank on Friday up 5 VND compared to Monday.
