The daily reference exchange rate opened the week going up 5 VND from the end of last week to 22,571 VND/USD on June 4.
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,248 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,894 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks fluctuated slightly compared to June 1.
Vietcombank raised both rates by 5 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,770 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,840 VND/USD.
Meanwhile, the rates at BIDV were slashed by 5 VND to 22,760 VND/USD (buying) and 22,830 VND/USD (selling)/.
Techcombank reduced the buying rate by 30 VND to 22,710 VND/USD and the selling rate by 35 VND to 22,795 VND/USD.
Last week, the daily reference exchange rate was adjusted up three times, on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. It was down on two days, Wednesday and Friday.
At the beginning of the week, the rate was set at 22,596 VND/USD and it ended the week on June 1 at 22,566 VND/USD.
