The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,622 dong/US dollar on June 21, up five dong from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,300 dong/US dollar and the floor rate is 21,946 dong/US dollar.
The opening hour rates at major commercial banks continued to go up.
Vietcombank listed the buying price at 22,830 dong/US dollar and selling price at 22,890 dong/US dollar, up 20 dong compared to yesterday.
At BIDV, the greenback was listed at 22,830-22,900 dong/US dollar (buying-selling), up 15 dong in both rates compared to June 20.
Meanwhile, Techcombank also adjusted up the buying and selling prices from the previous day, listing at 22,810-22,910 dong/US dollar respectively.
