The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,584 dong/US dollar on May 17, up 16 dong from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,261 dong/US dollar and the floor rate 21,907 dong/US dollar.
The opening hour rates at major commercial banks stayed stable.
Vietcombank maintained the same rates since the beginning of this week, with the buying rate listed at 22,735 dong/US dollar and selling rate at 22,805 dong/US dollar.
At BIDV, the greenback was listed at 22,735-22,805 dong/US dollar (buying-selling), unchanged from the beginning of this week.
Meanwhile, the US dollar price listed at Techcombank also remained the same from the beginning of this week, standing at 22,715 dong/US dollar (buying) and 22,815 dong/US dollar (selling).
