The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,988 VND per USD on April 5, up 10 VND from the previous day (April 4).
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,675 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,299 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks continued to stay stable.
Vietcombank kept both rates unchanged from the last working day of previous week (March 29), listing the buying rate at 23,150 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,250 VND/USD.
BIDV also listed the buying rate at 23,150 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,250 VND/USD, unchanged from the previous day.
The rates at Techcombank stayed the same as on April 4, at 23,130 VND/USD (buying) and 23,250 VND/USD (selling).
During the week from April 1 to 5, the daily reference exchange rate was adjusted up for two days and down on two days and kept stable on a day. At the end of the week, the rate gained a total of 8 VND.
The rates at commercial banks stayed stable throughout the week, with Vietcombank keeping its both rated unchanged for a week.
