Reference Exchange Rate Up 10 Dong

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,463 dong/US dollar on March 29, up 10 dong from the day earlier.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied by commercial banks during the day is 23,141 dong/US dollar and the floor rate is 21,797 dong/US dollar.

The greenback price at major commercial banks mostly increased

Vietcombank offered the buying rate at 22,775 dong/US dollar and the selling rate at 22,845 dong/US dollar, up 15 dong in buying rate compared to the previous day.

The rates slightly decreased in Vietinbank to 22,774 dong/US dollar (buying) and 22,844 dong/US dollar (selling).

Meanwhile, BIDV also listed the US dollar at 22,785 dong/US dollar (buying) and 22,855 dong/US dollar (selling), up five dong in both rates from yesterday.
