?Reference Exchange Rate Stays Stable At Weeks Beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,590 dong/US dollar on May 17, up 16 dong from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,267 dong/US dollar and the floor rate is 21,913 dong/US dollar.

The opening hour rates at major commercial banks increased slightly.

Vietcombank raised the greenback price by five dong, listing the buying price 22,745 dong/US dollar and selling rate at 22,815 dong/US dollar, up five dong from the end of last week.

At BIDV, the greenback was also listed at 22,745-22,815 dong/US dollar (buying-selling), up five dong from the end of last week.

Meanwhile, the US dollar price listed at Techcombank also increased five dong from the end of this week, standing at 22,725 dong/US dollar (buying) and 22,825 dong/US dollar (selling).
