Reference Exchange Rate Down For Second Day

The State Bank of Vietnam adjusted the daily reference exchange rate down for the second day, setting the rate at 22,953 VND per USD on March 21, dropping 5 VND from March 20.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,641 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,265 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, the opening hour rates at commercial banks saw slight fluctuations from March 20.

Vietcombank and BIDV cut both rates by 5 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,155 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,255 VND/USD.

Techcombank kept the buying rate unchanged from March 20 at 23,130 VND/USD and raised the selling rate by 10 VND to 23,270 VND/USD.
