The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,216 VND per USD on April 13, down 5 VND from the last working day of previous week (April 10).
With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,912 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,520 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks stayed stable.
At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,310 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,520 VND/USD, both unchanged from April 10.
BIDV also kept both rates unchanged at 23,340 VND/USD (buying) and 23,520 VND/USD (selling).
Similarly, at Techcombank, both the rates stayed unchanged at 23,350 VND/USD (buying), and 23,510 VND/USD (selling).
During the week from April 6-10, the reference exchange rate mostly followed a declining trend except for April 9. The rate ended the week 18 VND lower.
The rates listed at commercial banks also ended the week lower than the rates at the week’s beginning./.
