Reference Exchange Rate Down 5 Dong

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,615 dong/US dollar on June 25, down five dong from the end of last week.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,293 dong/US dollar and the floor rate is 21,937 dong/US dollar.

The opening hour rates at major commercial banks did not fluctuate much.

Vietcombank and BIDV listed the greenback at 22,830-22,900 dong/US dollar (buying-selling), unchanged from the end of last week.

Vietinbank adjusted up the buying and selling prices by one dong, listing at 22,841-22,911 dong/US dollar respectively.

Meanwhile, the exchange rate at Techcombank was 22,830-22,910 dong/US dollar, unchanged from the end of the previous week.

Last week, the central exchange rate swelled 18 dong, equal to 0.08 percent while US dollar exchange rate at commercial banks surged about 45 dong, equal to 0.2 percent.
