Reference Exchange Rate Down 4 VND On April 7

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,230 VND per USD on April 7, down 4 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,926 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,533 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at most commercial banks saw decreases.

At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,360 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,570 VND/USD, both up 40 VND from the same time on April 6.

BIDV raised both rates by 10 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,390 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,570 VND/USD.

Techcombank also added 5 VND to both rates, offering the buying rate at 23,375 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,575 VND/USD./.
