?Reference Exchange Rate Down 2 VND On May 15

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,548 VND/USD on May 15, down 2 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,224 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,872 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at most major commercial banks remained unchanged from May 14.

The greenback is being bought at 22,735 VND/USD and sold at 22,805 VND/USD at Vietcombank and BIDV, the same as on the previous day.

Techcombank also kept both rates unchanged at 22,715 VND/USD (buying) and 22,815 VND/USD (selling).

The daily reference exchange rate has been on a downward trend since May 11 after going up for most of the week from May 7.

However, the rates listed at major commercial banks remained stable recently with only slight fluctuations.
