The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,252 VND per USD on May 11, down 10 VND from the last working day of previous week.
With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,949 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,555 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at some commercial banks saw slight fluctuations.
At 8:35 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,230 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,440 VND/USD, both down 10 VND from May 8.
Meanwhile, the rates listed by BIDV remained unchanged at 23,270 VND/USD (buying), and 23,450 VND/USD (selling).
On the contrary, Techcombank added 5 VND to both rates, listing the buying rate at 23,250 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,450 VND/USD.
The daily reference exchange rate fluctuated variably throughout the week from May 4 to 8, and ended the week up 15 VND compared to Monday.
On the contrary, the rates at commercial banks ended the week down 20-32 VND per USD./.
