Reference Exchange Rate Down 10 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,047 VND per USD on May 13, down 10 VND from the last working day of the previous week (May 10).

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied by commercial banks for the day is 23,738 VND/USD and the floor rate is 22,356 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks saw a decline.

At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,335 VND per USD and the selling rate at 23,355 VND per USD, down 25 VND in both rates from May 10.

BIDV cut 10 VND from both rates to 23,240 VND/USD (buying) and 23,360 VND/USD (selling).

Techcombank also lowered both rates by 10 VND from May 10 to 23,230 VND/USD (buying) and 23,330 VND/USD (selling).
