The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,244 VND per USD on May 13, down 1 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,941 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,546 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at some commercial banks saw slight fluctuations.
At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,220 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,430 VND/USD, unchanged from May 12.
Meanwhile, BIDV reduced both rates by 5 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,245 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,425 VND/USD.
On the contrary, Techcombank added 42 VND to both rates, listing the buying rate at 23,265 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,465 VND/USD./.
