Reference Exchange Rate Continues To Rise

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate on March 6 at 22,940 VND per USD, up 2 VND from the previous day (March 5).

This is the fifth consecutive day the reference exchange rate has been adjusted up since February 27, with a total increase of 32 VND.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,627 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,253 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, the opening hour rates at commercial banks continued to stay stable.

The rates at both Vietcombank and BIDV stayed unchanged from March 1 at 23,150 VND/USD (buying) and 23,250 VND/USD (selling).

Techcombank also maintained the same rates since March 1, at 23,130 VND/USD (buying) and 23,250 VND/USD (selling).
