Reference Exchange Rate Continues To Rise

The daily reference exchange rate for June 12 is adjusted up 8 VND from the previous day to 22,575 VND/USD.

This is the second day in a row this week the State Bank of Vietnam has raised the daily reference exchange rate.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,252 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,898 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks saw slight fluctuations compared to June 11.

Vietcombank kept both rates unchanged at 22,765 VND/USD (buying) and 22,835 VND/USD (selling).

Meanwhile, BIDV raised both rates by 5 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,770 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,840 VND/USD.

At Techcombank, the greenback is being traded at 22,745 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,845 VND/USD, the same as on June 11 and the last day of previous week (June 8).
