Reference Exchange Rate Adjusted Up

The State Bank of Vietnam on April 18 adjusted the daily reference exchange rate up 5 VND from the previous day, setting it at 22,482 VND/USD.

With the current trading band of/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,160 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,716 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at major commercial banks saw slight changes on the downward direction.

BIDV cut 5 VND from both rates, listing the buying rate at 22,735 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,805 VND/USD.

The rates listed at Vietinbank also dropped by 4 VND compared to those on April 17, with the buying rate standing at 22,734 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,804 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, Vietcombank maintained its rates at 22,735 VND/USD (buying) and 22,805 VND/USD (selling), unchanged from April 17.
