Reference Exchange Rate Adjusted Down At Weeks Beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the reference exchange rate at 22,448 VND/USD on April 2, down 10 VND from the last day of previous week (March 30).

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,126 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,782 VND/USD.

The rates listed at commercial banks are also on the declining trend compared to March 30.

The opening hour rates at Vietcombank stood at 22,750 VND/USD (buying) and 22,820 VND/USD (selling), both down 15 VND from the rates on March 30.

BIDV also listed the buying rate at 22,750 VND/USD (buying) and 22,820 VND/USD (selling), down 20 VND both ways.

Vietinbank cut both the listed rates by 18 VND, buying the greenback at 22,743 VND/USD and selling at 22,813 VND/USD.
