Prudential has been approved by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) to raise its chartered capital to 4.128 trillion dong, continuing to affirm its long-term and sustainable investment commitments in the Vietnamese market.
In the fiscal year 2017, Prudential posted revenue of 16.019 trillion dong from insurance business, up 20 percent year-on-year and new premium revenue of 3.925 trillion dong, up 12 percent year-on-year. Also in 2017, Prudential decided to make payment of insurance benefits to customers at 6.261 trillion dong.
Prudential Vietnam also showed strong potential in its insurance and investment business with a total asset value of 74.112 trillion dong by the end of 2017. In particular, the total investment of Prudential in the economy in 2017 was 66.241 trillion dong, the largest investment among life insurers in Vietnam.
