Prudential Vietnam Assurance Private Ltd has announced a ‘Free Online Consultation’ campaign for all users of Pulse by Prudential health app who complete the 15-minute health assessment and generate their digital twin.
With a “We DO health” spirit, this campaign aims to raise people’s awareness of preventive care and enable them to take control of their health and well-being.
As a leading life insurer in the country, Prudential Vietnam is expanding beyond its pure protection offerings to playing a larger role in helping users prevent and postpone the onset of diseases, the company said.
Phuong Tien Minh, its CEO, said: “More than ever, health is becoming the top concern for people all over the world, and Vietnam is no exception. The Covid-19 pandemic as well as the increasing acceptance of digital health technologies are changing the way diseases are being managed and treated.
“The timely launch of our mobile health app, Pulse, in May, and our new campaign to offer complimentary online consultation to users are in line with Prudential’s commitment to a wealthier and healthier Vietnam.
“With Pulse, we aim to leverage digital technology to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for everyone, as well as encourage them to proactively manage their health, anytime and anywhere.”
From now until August 31 users who complete the full health assessment on Pulse are eligible for a free online consultation with a certified doctor via the app.
The offer can be enjoyed through the following steps: download the Pulse app for free and register for an account and under the Health tab, select ‘Health Assessment’ and choose the full assessment.
Upon completing these steps, a complimentary consultation voucher will be issued and retrievable in the ‘Account My Rewards’ section of the app.
To use the voucher, all users need to do is access the Health tab, choose ‘Online consultation’, complete their medical profile, apply ‘voucher’ in the payment process and follow the instructions to book an appointment with a doctor.
But those having any serious acute symptoms, including choking, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, weak limbs, difficulty enunciating, unconsciousness, thoughts of wanting to harm yourself or others, epilepsy, bleeding, severe pain, confusion and/ or hallucinations, fractures are not suitable for an online consultation.
Pulse was launched in Vietnam in May 2020 and has been downloaded close to one million times since. The pan-regional app is live in a total of 11 markets in Asia, and has been downloaded more than seven million times across the region as of July-end.
In Vietnam, Pulse currently offers users three key features spanning the three key stages of their health journey Prevent, Postpone and Protect. Highlighting the importance of ‘Prevention is better than cure’, the three features are Healthcheck, Symptom Checker and powered by Babylon and Online Consultation by MyDoc.
In addition to the main features, Body Mass Index (BMI), Wrinkle Index and Hospital & Clinic Finder are other value-added features in Pulse that provide interesting and helpful information for Vietnamese users.
Through Pulse, Prudential Vietnam customers will also be able to manage their policy with ease and convenience. Not only will they be able to view a summary of their coverage and policy services on it, they can also make changes to their correspondence details, and, soon, pay their premiums.
New partners, tools and value-added services will be introduced in phases in Vietnam.
