The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) was the only Vietnamese bank chosen to offer money exchange service at the DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit Vietnam’s International Media Centre.
Stalls for currency exchanges and high-quality automatic teller machines (ATMs) were set up at the media centre to serve payment need of more than 3,000 domestic and foreign journalists.
Also, Vietcombank joined hands with competent companies and local people to decorate the streets, promoting the images of Hanoi as a city of peace and hospitality while affirming Vietnam’s desire to become a peace maker.
In banking and finance sector, Vietcombank is the first Vietnamese bank receiving approval from the US to establish its representative office in New York city. The office will serve as a bridge to connect Vietnamese firms with its trade partners in the US.
