More than 700 Manulife employees, agents and family members marked the 19th annual Terry Fox Run by hitting the streets with the message of active and healthy living.
Held on Sunday (17 November), the annual charity run has been a regular fixture on the corporate calendar and this year’s event held extra significance for Manulife.
As the company continues on its journey to motivate even more Vietnamese to think about their health, the run is seen as a great chance to also celebrate the joy of moving.
“Each year Manulife comes together as a family to participate in the Terry Fox Run, and we are thrilled to again have one of the biggest teams at this charity run,” Kim Fleming, CEO of Manulife Vietnam, said.
“This is a great example of a family-friendly event that encourages active living, and we’re proud of our ongoing relationship with the Terry Fox Run.”
Over the years Manulife has been a powerful force in building stronger, healthier communities in Vietnam, while also pioneering new platforms such as the free-to-use ManulifeMOVE.
ManulifeMOVE is an opportunity to engage the community in more meaningful and rewarding ways by educating them on health and incentivising healthy behaviours and provide tools to help them stay engaged.
The Terry Fox Run is organised by the Canadian consulate general and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam with support from the HCM City Union of Friendship Organisations.
Through the 2019Terry Fox Run, Manulife sought to promote the message of health and wellness, especially among millennials.
