Long Hau JSC, the developer of a number of industrial parks in southern Vietnam, will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a factory cluster for lease in Danang City’s Danang Hi-Tech Park on February 28.
Ho Ky Minh, vice chair of the municipal People’s Committee, announced the plan at a press briefing held on February 20 to introduce the upcoming 2019 Spring Conference. The groundbreaking ceremony is being held on the sidelines of the conference, which is slated for March 1 at the Danang City Administrative Centre.
Covering over 29 hectares of land, the VND1.5 trillion cluster project, once completed, will provide ready-built factories with an area of 500-3,300 square meters each for investors, alongside 170-square-metre offices. The factories are expected to attract firms operating in technology and supporting industries such as precision engineering and electronic parts and sensor manufacturers, according to a Long Hau firm representative.
Apart from that, investors will receive some preferential policies, such as tax exemptions for imported goods to create fixed properties for the project and to serve research and development activities.
They will be exempted from taxes for a five-year period for materials and accessories that are not manufactured in the country, starting from the manufacturing dates.
At the upcoming conference, the city will sign a contract with a Singaporean consultancy on making planning adjustments for the city by 2030, with a vision toward 2045.
