Hanwha Life Vietnam Funds PediatricObstetric Clinic In Dak Lak

Hanwha Life Vietnam in collaboration with Childfund (Korea) and Action Aid have donated a new PediatricObstetric Clinic worth VND2.8 billion to the Krong Bong Medical Centre in Dak Lak Province.

This is the fifth health facility that Hanwha Life Vietnam has donated to improve healthcare conditions for people in remote and isolated areas.

The Krong Bong Medical Centre, formerly Krong Bong general Hospital, was built in 1986. After more than 30 years of operation, the centre’s facilities have fallen into serious disrepair.

The lack of pediatric and obstetric clinics has made it difficult for children and women in Krong Bong District to access high-quality public health services.

After five months of construction, with the close cooperation of stakeholders, the new building of the Department of PediatricObstetric at Krong Bong Medical Centre opened on December 13. The new facility includes eight treatment rooms, toilets, and other facilities.

Back Jong Kook, CEO of Hanwha Life Vietnam and chair of its Members’ Council, said: “A sustainable development business must know how to contribute to social security and community stability. Since 2015, we have funded VND12.6 billion to build four health centers in remote provinces, and today, a new Pediatric Obstetric clinic will be put into operation.”

“With continuous efforts by Hanwha Life Vietnam, we hope that the healthcare conditions and living standards of people in remote and rural areas will gradually become better every day. In the future, Hanwha Life will continue to carry out various meaningful community activities for underprivileged people in Vietnam,” Back said.

Over the past 10 years, Hanwha Life Vietnam has provided more than VND30 billion to fund many community projects. Hanwha Vietnam has also donated 50,313 health insurance cards to the poor and built more than 160 charity houses throughout the country.
