Eximbank Earns 648b Dong Profit From Divestment At Sacombank

The Export Import Joint Stock Commercial Bank (Eximbank-coded EIB) said from November 29, 2017 to January 29, 2018, Eximbank divested from the investment in STB-coded shares of Sai Gon Thuong Tin Joint Stock Commercial Bank (Sacombank) by order matching method.

The average selling price of these shares was 14,064 dong each. The highest price was 15,600 dong and the lowest price was 12,300 dong.

The revenue from capital divestment for this investment contributed nearly 648 billion dong to the total profit, of which, the year 2017 recorded more than 126 billion dong and Q1/2018 recorded more than 521 billion dong into the net profit.

Eximbank started to invest in STB shares in 2012, and used to appoint Pham Huu Phu as the capital representative. Phu became Chair of this bank in two years and then returned to be CEO of Eximbank and left this bank in 2016.
